'Begal', Police legal language of robbery with violence are increasingly evident in the area of Jabodetabek. Police will increase patrols and routine patrols to root out large-scale troubling crimes.
"We still do legal proceedings, members of the police, Sub-District Police, Brimod Resmob joined the team. We conducted preventive activities, with medium to large sized patrols which continued every night we conducted," said Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief, Irjen Pol Unggung Cahyoo told reporters in the press release that was held at the Metro Jaya Police HQ, Friday (27/2/2015).
In the operation which was held in Friday (27/2) early morning, members of the patrol managed to secure the weighing 2 tons of marijuana sent from Aceh. "There's 2 tons marijuana, from Aceh to Jakarta in Western Jakarta we find on operations 21 at yesterday evening," he said.
The patrols have been carried out since a couple of days ago around the Jabodetabek area. The current police force will carry out mapping to break the chain, especially in the case of 'begal'.
"We will break the chain of the mapping. Kapolres se-Jabodetabek has been directed to investigate, where the criminal acts of sale, thus closing the chain. We will close certain point location where the motorcycle from the proceeds of crime is sold," he said.
